Brazil, Thailand, and Our Chamber
As the seventh economy in the world, Brazil is the power house of Latin America and an emerging market to watch.
And according to the World Bank, “Thailand is one of the great development success stories.Due to smart economic policies it has become an upper middle income economy and is making progress towards meeting the Millennium Development Goals.”
Thailand is also a founding member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN. The strengths of both countries lie in the manufacturing and consumption of international products; their sophisticated technology and robust infrastructure to support both countries’ commercial activities; their legal systems that provide for fair enforcement of contracts; as well as the vast wealth of natural resources found in both countries, from minerals and oil, to food and fish stocks.
As tropical countries, Brazil and Thailand enjoy an abundance of fresh water and their temperate weather provide for an agricultural feast of year-round crops.
